one step closer to my dreams...

Today it was announced to the public that I will be joining J3Designz as the second shooter. Jess (the owner) took my wedding photo's and since then we have kept in touch and it finally came around that I would be working for her, starting this summer! I am SO excited about this, it's my first step to FINALLY achieving my dream of making my life through photography! I can't wait to get out there and start learning new techniques and capturing some awesome photo's of clients special days! If you would like to take a look at the announcment head over to

Today my mind has been full of worrying. This morning my good friend's 2 week old son had to go into surgery to repair a vessel in his heart. He is doing well, but it's still a few days until he's fully out of the woods. He's not even my child and my heart breaks every time his mommy texts me to update me on him. I can't imagine having to send my 3 year old into surgery, let alone my 2 week old! So needless to say today has been an emotional day! But if anyone who may read this could just send some positive thoughts this way, baby Wyatt and Family could use them!

"Hi my name is Gill and I'm a blog virgin."

Well here we go...this is my first time actually attempting to keep a blog. I'm not sure how this is going to go, whether I'm going to bore the snot out of everyone, or if I'll be some what entertaining.



I'll start with the basics. My name is Gill (soft g) -I'm 24 -Married -with a small child -trying to produce another small child -have a English Bulldog pup -LOVE photography -am a REALLY bad speller...I could go on forever so we'll just leave it at that for now and we can learn more as we go!


But basically I am starting a blog because I want to put myself out there, I'm trying to get started with some Photography so I'll probably post some of my work on here now and then. And I am also just trying to discover myself and work on my vices and be a better me.

But I guess this is all I will write for now. I will return soon!
